Torlopp Industrie- und Messtechnik GmbH was founded in 1977 under the company name "Peter Torlopp Verbindungselemente", producing and selling fasteners and similar products.

Due to continual growing and specializing in manufacturing parts made out of special materials and broaden production to complicated turned and milled parts, the firm was renamed 1983 into "Peter Torlopp Industrietechnik GmbH".

On July 1, 1997 Uwe Oelrichs bought the company. Because there was an excellent equipped measuring laboratory available for the own production, a new profit center was added by offering calibrating services for measuring instruments. The name of the company was changed to " Torlopp Industrie- und Messtechnik GmbH ".

Today "Torlopp" is selling products into Germany, Europe and other foreign countries. "Torlopp" is an efficient and reliable partner for the industry like the space, electrical and automotive, medical equipment and mechanical engineering industry.

In order to meet the demand of the customers, "Torlopp" has been approved by the technical surveyance organisation (TÜV) according to AD-W0/TRD 100 in 1992 and is certified according to DIN EN ISO 9002 since 1998.

Today Torlopp is certified according to AD 2000- Merkblatt W0, Pressure Equipment Directive 97/23/EC and to EN ISO 9001:2000.
